The present work is studied in a construction site of an educational institution in the city of San Mateo - Chepén - La Libertad, which consists of the mixed primary level in a rural area. The objective of the research is the use and management of the earned value methodology, which will allow us to have a clear vision of the cost and time management of the project and thus determine the impact of earned value management on decision making. in the construction of an educational infrastructure. The earned value will allow us to identify in a certain period of the project, what is the performance of the variables of cost and time, and also to be able to make projections for decision making. Proper cost and time management are decisive for the success of the project. The present investigation according to the orientation is applied and according to the contrasting technique it is explanatory. An educational infrastructure is a building-type construction project, which is characterized by having a clear scope and the items to be executed, since all of them are reflected in the construction plans from the beginning of the project. The contribution of this work is to achieve a more efficient management in construction projects using earned value management. Likewise, the earned value method was worked on in 3 controls, since the work is executed in 18 months, considering each control in 6 months, where when applying the method, it yielded us as results, that in the first 6 months we already obtained a no Work savings and the delay itself, when a work is already late it is very difficult to replace it, this is where in the last 12 months the same work was obtained in delay and without savings.
