Objective: Determine if iterative cesarean section is a protective factor for pelvic organ prolapse in patients at the Belén Hospital in Trujillo. Material and methods: A retrospective cohort study was carried out in which 142 women were included, according to selection criteria which were divided according to the presence or not of exposure to iterative cesarean section, the chi square and the relative risk statistician. Results: The average number of children was significantly lower and the average social stratum was significantly higher in the group of pregnant women with repeated cesarean section (p<0.05), the incidence of pelvic prolapse in patients exposed to repeated cesarean section was 16%, the incidence of Pelvic prolapse in patients not exposed to repeat cesarean section was 96%, iterative cesarean section is a protective factor for pelvic organ prolapse with a relative risk of 0.16 which was significant (p<0.05). Conclusion: iterative cesarean section is a protective factor for pelvic organ prolapse in patients at the Belén Hospital in Trujillo
