The research is descriptive and correlational cross-sectional, was conducted with the purpose of determining the relationship between socio-cultural factors and the attitude of young adults against the Pap test. La Noria Specialty Specialty Hospital. Trujillo, 2018. An instrument on sociocultural factors and attitude was applied to 100 young adults between 18 and 35 years old. The results obtained are: 34% of women are between the ages of 18 and 23, 29% of them are between 24 and 29 years old, 37% are between 30 and 35 years old. Regarding their marital status, 19% are single, 23% are married, 45% are cohabitants, 5% are widows and 8% are divorced. According to their occupation, 41% correspond to housewives, 35% independent and 24% dependent. Regarding the source, 88% live in the urban area and 12% in the rural area. Likewise, 13% have primary level, 54% secondary level, 33% upper level. Regarding religion 76% profess the Catholic religion, 20% evangelical and 4% correspond to other religions. According to parity, 21% of women do not have children, 56% have 1-2 children and 23% have 3 or more children. The Cronbach's alpha test of α = 0.845 (α> 0.70) was applied, which indicated that the instrument is reliable and for its validity the criterion of expert judgment was used, which was submitted to the opinions of five expert nurses in the subject. It is concluded that there is a significant relationship between attitude and sociocultural factors: age, marital status, occupation, place of origin, degree of instruction and parity, but there is no significant relationship between attitude and religion.
