The objective of this study was to determine the factors associated with dementia through the use of the RUDAS Scale in primary care. Materials and Methods: Non-probabilistic sampling was carried out, for census- type convenience. Information was collected from 133 older adults. The technique used was the survey applied by the team in charge of data collection. A data collection sheet will be designed with 3 sections. To measure sleep disorder, the EAI instrument was used, Depression was measured using the EDP-6 questionnaire, and Inability to perform basic activities was measured with the Katz index. Results: In the present analytical cross-sectional study, factors associated with dementia in older adults aged 65 years or older were evaluated. Age and female sex were found to be associated with dementia. In addition, it was observed that single and widowed marital status, sleep disorder, moderate and severe physical dependence, diabetes and the presence of a family member with dementia are also related to dementia. Conclusions: Advanced age, female sex, single or widowed marital status, sleep disorder, moderate or severe physical dependence, the presence of diabetes and a family history of dementia are significant risk factors for dementia in older adults
