To identify whether there is an association between sociodemographic factors and satisfaction with the quality of care. Materials and methods: An observational, cross-sectional, analytical study was carried out to evaluate 221 people users of the Otorhinolaryngology outpatient clinic of the Hospital de Especialidades Básicas La Noria; the interviews were conducted between February and April 2023. The instrument that assessed quality satisfaction was the SERVQUAL questionnaire. Results: The prevalence of satisfaction with the quality of care was 82.81%. The results show that most patients were satisfied with the quality of service and there were no significant differences in satisfaction according to the sociodemographic factors analyzed. However, there was a trend towards higher satisfaction in rural origin (6.56% vs. 2.63%, p = 0.349) and Catholic religion (69.40% vs. 60.53%, p = 0.286). The results indicate that the perception of service quality was significantly lower than patient expectations, resulting in a negative difference between the two. This difference was significantly associated with lower service quality satisfaction. Conclusions: There was a high prevalence of satisfaction with the quality of care in the Otorhinolaryngology outpatient clinic, although it is true that no association was found between sociodemographic factors with satisfaction with quality, the factors rural origin and Catholic religion had a tendency to be associated.
