Determine the relationship between the Body Mass Index and malocclusion in students from 11 to 14 years of age. MATERIAL AND METHOD: The study had a cross-sectional, comparative, prolective and observational design. A total of 250 students from 11 to 14 years of age from the I.E. N° 80821 “César Abraham Vallejo Mendoza”. The technique used was observational and the instrument applied was the Body Mass Index (BMI) and the Dental Aesthetic Index (DAI). RESULTS: By applying Spearman's correlation coefficient, a significance level of p = 0.040 was obtained, being less than 0.05, indicating the relationship between the variables studied. Regarding age, it is evident that it was not related to BMI and malocclusion (p > 0.05). Likewise, sex was also not related to BMI and malocclusion (p > 0.05). CONCLUSION: If there was a relationship between Body Mass Index and malocclusion in students from 11 to 14 years of age.
