The present study of technological type and psychometric design aims to establish the psychometric properties of the Maslach Burnout Inventory (MBI) in teachers of state educational institutions of La Esperanza. The sample consisted of 348 teachers from state educational institutions of La Esperanza, men and women, aged between 25 and 65, with a contract in force in 2018. Using the itemtest method, it was estimated that the 22 items of the MBI, record homogeneity indices ranging between .307 and .682. Similarly, by means of the Confirmatory Factor Analysis method, the existence of an adequate adjustment between the three-factor model, proposed in the present investigation and the model proposed by the authors of the instrument was estimated. Likewise, reliability was estimated, using the internal consistency method, reaching the following indices: Emotional Exhaustion (.948); Depersonalization (.867); Personal Achievement (.914); and Total Scale (.971). The percentile standards of the MBI were carried out, according to gender. It is concluded that the Maslach Burnout Inventory (MBI) has ideal psychometric properties for its application to teachers in the study context.
