Objective: Determine the type of treatment decisions occlusal and proximal carious lesions in stomatology students Private University Antenor Orrego of Trujillo in the semester 2021-00. Material and Method: The prospective, cross-sectional, descriptive and observational study included a total of 90 students from the seventh to the tenth cycle. A virtual questionnaire of 17 questions grouped in 4 dimensions was used, with a Cronbach's alpha reliability of 0.852 and a V. de Aiken validity of 0.908. Results: Regarding the type of decisions to treat proximal and occlusal carious lesions, it was found that 83.33% are conservative and 16.67% are invasive. In a proximal lesion, 21.6% of the students would perform operative treatment if it is located in the outer half of the dentin, 42.2% would use a class II ocluso proximal cavity preparation and 54.4% would restore it with composite resin. Likewise, in an occlusal lesion, 29.3% would perform an operative treatment when it is in the middle third of the dentin (grade 4), 74.4% would only remove the decayed tissue and 50.0% would restore it with composite resin. Conclusions: The type of treatment decisions for proximal and occlusal carious lesions in Stomatology students at the Antenor Orrego Private University is predominantly conservative.
