In this thesis, the influence of inoculation with Rhizobium and nitrogen fertilization on the yield of alfalfa was evaluated. For the experiment, the design completely randomized blocks with 4 treatments and 4 replications with a total of 16 experimental plots was done. The aim of the present work was to measure the influence of inoculation with Sinorhizobium meliloti (Rhizobiaceae) and nitrogen fertilization to improve the yield of alfalfa (Medicago sativa L,) (Fabaceae) in the plots of the San Carlos San Marcelo Major Seminary, Moche - Trujillo: Peru. As a result, it was observed that the highest height of the plant occurred at the fourth week of the cut where the T1 treatment (Rhizobium) reached 54.53 cm, while the T2 treatment (Fertilizer) did it with 54.42 cm, that is, there is no marked difference, but there is a significant difference with T3 (Sinorhizobium + fertilizer) which was 45.29 cm, and with T4 (control) which is 50.66 cm. For the dry matter of the plant it is observed that there are statistical differences between the studied treatments and also between the blocks, being the T1 treatment (Rhizobium) the biggest with a weight of 0.24 kg, obtaining among all a coefficient of variation 11.33% what it indicates that the data obtained is reliable. Regarding the root dry matter, it can be observed that the weights are similar to those of the plant, but in addition to not having statistical differences, it exceeds the rest the one that has application of urea, being the control similar to the one that had Rhizobium. For the yield, it can be observed that just like what was found for dry matter. The results indicate that it is necessary to apply nitrogen fertilizer to the soil (Urea), and that it is better to apply Rhizobium alone, without Urea; and when applied in this way, it yields statistically the same as Urea; which means that if you want to perform organic agriculture of alfalfa you must apply Sinorhizobium to the soil.
