To determine if organizational, physical, chemical, psychosocial and toxic factors are factors associated with chronic dysphonia in teachers of the Antenor Orrego Private University. Material and Methods: An observational, cross-sectional study was carried out in 236 teachers who work at the Antenor Orrego Private University and are over 25 years, with a period of time greater than 1 hour per class during 2021, in whom a survey of 23 questions extracted from an investigation of the Faculty of Medical Sciences of the University of Cuenca in Ecuador(7) for data collection, subsequently applying the chi-square statistical test and Odds ratio. Results: The factor, the environment where he teaches classes is close to the exposure of vehicular traffic, is a physical factor associated with chronic dysphonia with a significance level of p = 0.006. The factor, greater than normal effort of the voice, is a psychosocial factor associated with chronic dysphonia with a significance level of p = 0.007. The factor, use of alcoholic beverages, is a toxic factor associated with chronic dysphonia with a significance level of p < 0.010 respectively. Conclusion: The environment where he teaches classes is close to the exposure of vehicular traffic, the greater than normal effort of the voice and the use of alcoholic beverages were risk factors associated with chronic dysphonia in teachers of the Antenor Orrego Private University.
