The purpose of this research work was to present the proposed modification of article 21 of the Consumer Protection and Defense Code regarding consumer expectations to guarantee legal security and the right to the suitability of goods and services in contracts of purchase and sale carried out through e-commerce, in that sense, the methodology used is based on the qualitative approach under a causal descriptive design and type of research, where the technique was the analysis of final resolutions issued by Indecopi. The amendment is based on the need to integrate the quality of provider to virtual platforms, as well as to apply the implicit and legal guarantees in electronic commerce given the lack of protection of the rights of the user in which an advantageous position is granted to the provider in contrast to the consumer, whose interest is focused on the acquisition of products or services. It should be understood that the social context has generated innovative forms of commerce, that is, the usefulness of ICTs in consumer relations. Consequently, the greater the exposure to the internet, the greater the security and reliability required for users who use e-commerce, since, since there is no specific regulation, it is Law N°. 29571 that safeguards the rights of consumers in its different modes of trade..
