In the first chapter is related an introduction to the current problematic reality about the deficient way in which the monitoring of vital signs in the hospitals of Trujillo - Peru is being carried out at the moment, for which it’s proposed as a main objective to develop a portable biomedical electronic system, to improve the monitoring and historical registry of vital signs of the people in the city of Trujillo; the formulation of the problem and the justification of study are raised. The second chapter deals with the description of the works related to the one exposed in this thesis, which provided us with relevant information such as the sensors and microcontrollers used in their research, applied methodologies, obtained results, among other factors. Likewise, the foundations of the theoretical and conceptual framework are detailed, as well as the hypothesis approach and the Operationalization of the variables. In the third chapter it’s indicated that the development of the work will have a level of Applied research with a Descriptive contrasting design. In the fourth chapter, it’s detailed the tests carried out with sensors chosen according to the technical specifications of the prototype, such as: temperature sensors, pulse sensors and oximetry sensors. Tests with different central process modules and with database platforms are also explained. Taking into consideration the results of the tests carried out in the fourth chapter, the sensors, the central process module and the database that best fit the technical requirements for this portable biomedical electronic system were chosen. The methods for the design and implementation of each of the stages of data acquisition, analysis, processing and visualization; belonging to the development of the portable biomedical electronic system, are specified. It should be noted that the processed data will be visualized in an App developed exclusively for the prototype. By means of functional characteristics of the prototype, the test or contrast of the hypothesis posed is carried out and the results achieved are presented. In the fifth chapter, we discuss the results obtained based on our indications of the operationalization table. Finally, from the sixth to the ninth chapter, the conclusions of the research are exposed, being one of them the good precision obtained from the prototype in comparison with instruments approved by the DIGEMIN, besides the recommendations, the bibliographic references and the annexes.
