The following research research turned into finished inside the district of Jequetepeque, province of Pacasmayo, in the region of freedom, with the main objective of conducting a study to determine the undermining and protection of the sub-structure of the bridge ““San Martin““. Essential engineering analyses have been achieved, with the aid of programs, ““AutoCAD Civil 3D, River, Hidroesta 2 and ArcGIS““, to achieve the technical data that allows us to perform a hydraulic modeling in the program “IBER 2.4.3”, and to obtain data of speeds, straps and flow rate. From the survey, an area of 1.29 km2 was obtained, with a length in the channel of 2.39 Km, 1.16 Km upstream and 1.23 Km downstream of the bridge ““San Martin““, and an average slope of 0.014, we also obtained sections of the river Jequetepeque in the CIVIL 3D software. From the Geotechnical take a look at, via particle size evaluation, the representative diameters of the Jequetepeque River material, D10, D30, D50, Dm and D60 and D95, which are 0.20mm, 1.74mm, 12.20mm, 12.20mm, 19.85mmm and 36.31mm respectively, were determined. From the Hydrological study, design flows were obtained for different return periods and those of greater relevance for modeling were (100, 150, 300 and 500 years), with statistical strategies (Log Normal, Pearson III, Gumbel, Nash) and empirical (Mac Math, Fuller, Creager Regional), using the “RIVER and HIDROESTA 2” programs, resulting in design flows of 1441.77 m3/s, 1583.45 m3/s, 1712.29 m3/s, 1838.07 m3/s, in that order. For general undermining, the Lischtvan-Lebediev method was used, for local undermining in pillars, the CSU method and the Froehlich method, and for local undermining in stirrups the Hire method. Among the main results, we have for a T.R. of 500 years, a general undermining of 2.03m, local undermining in pillars of 1.79m and a local undermining in abutments of 2.29m, finally it is proposed the construction of lateral dikes and mantles of breakwaters in pillars.
