The present investigation is focused on carrying out an optimal pavement design study in the tattered Juan Velasco and Víctor Capristan of the district of Huamachuco, these tatters lack the road infrastructure for the vehicular flow that circulates their roads; Because of this, it is proposed to provide the necessary road infrastructure to meet demand. In relation to the aforementioned, for the present study, variables such as Pavement Condition Index (pci), manual counts (IMDA), soil support ratio (CBR) have been identified, which when applying the appropriate ASTM standards will be obtained the necessary parameters for the design of the pavement applying the AASHTO-93 methodology, in the tattered Juan Velasco and Víctor Capristan. It is concluded that when conducting the PCI study, values are obtained that qualify the condition of the pavement as ““Bad““; that when calculating the vehicular flow in the tatters Juan Velasco and Víctor Capristan, values of 1,652 vehicles / day and 1,315 vehicles / day were obtained; also that in the tatter Juan Velasco presented lower support resistance than the tattered Victor Capristan, with CBR values: 4.1% and CBR: 7.5%; and finally he made the pavement design by the AASHTO-93 method obtaining concrete layer thicknesses of 27.30 cm and 26.30 cm respectively.
