The present research analytical type, with a design of correlational, research had as objective determine the factors influencing the birth period in adolescents treated at the District Hospital of Santa Isabel in the period July 2017 to June 2018; this investigation involved 32 adolescents who met the criteria of inclusion and exclusion. We used a tab of data collection which was elaborated taking into account the variables of study. The results found with the highest percentage were: In the long intergenic period; secondary educational level 34.4% and short intergenic period, 40.6%; with a correlation of spearman -0.42. The age of 18 to 19 years with a long intergenic period, 34.4% and short intergenic period 62.5%; with a correlation of spearman - 0.13. Marital status in long intergenic period, cohabiting 21.9% and short intergenic period, 46.9%; with a correlation of spearman 0.04. Type of family in long intergenic period, single-parent family 21.9% and short intergenic period, 31.3%; with a correlation of spearman -0.26. The raising of children with long intergenic period, mom and dad 21.9% and short intergenic period, 43.8%; with a correlation of spearman -0.18. Employment with long intergenic period, does not work 21.9%, and short intergenic period, 37.5%; with a correlation of spearman -0.082. Economic income, with long intergenic period, without income 25%, and short intergenerative period, 37.5%; with a correlation of spearman 0.21. It is concluded that, of the studied social factors, the educational level is a factor that is inversely related to the intergenesic period. In as much the factors age, civil state, type of family, raising of children, employment and economic income are not related significantly.
