Introduction: in this study topic we will address the thrombotic immune response and its elements that intervene during its immunopathophysiological mechanism. COVID 19 is a disease caused by the SARS-CoV-2 virus. It became a pandemic after its appearance, changed the dynamics of our lives and put the entire health system in the world on alert. The virus generates changes in the respiratory system leading to “Respiratory Distress Syndrome”. It has an affinity for ACE2 receptors present in the mucosa of specific organs of the body. Infection activates nonspecific innate reactions, this response in turn causes alteration in the hemostatic system due to an uncontrolled macrophagic response that in turn produces multiple thrombotic episodes in patients with COVID-19. Objective: To provide updated knowledge on the thrombotic immune response and its elements that intervene during its immunophysiopathological mechanism, in patients with COVID -19. Method: review of scientific literature of the last seven months of this year 2020, observational studies were included: cross-sectional studies, cases and controls and cohorts searched in the databases: pubmed.gob, Virtual Health Library (VHL), Cochrane Library Scopus. Conclusions: the thrombotic immune response is essential in terms of the response capacity of patients with COVID-19, the alteration of cellular elements and plasma levels should be monitored, because its alteration leads to multiple thrombotic episodes.
