The bridges are very forgotten in civil engineering, in relation to the management for their conservation in the optimal conditions of service and security. Nowadays, the custom in our country is to build up new infrastructure, make large investments by municipalities and regional governments through bids with big companies managing the construction; but not conservation, in this way projects, are forgotten in time, attempting against quality and security of the infrastructure, this is summed up in that the structure in many cases fails to satisfy the useful life for which it was designed. In this research, it is shown the development of a bridge management system currently existing and its application in the road interchange of the Grau Oval in Trujillo- Peru, establishing the type of bridge and each one of the elements that make it registered through visual inspection and annotated to an inventory, beside the materials used in construction, the possible damage and cost that these imply in accordance to the interventions to be carried out in the road exchange. In addition, a management system was implemented, called GEPUBIV bridge management based on visual inspection (Valenzuela 2008), through which the combined indicator of the IIV road Exchange is determined and it combines the indicated of strategic importance IEIV, seismic risk RSIV, hydraulic vulnerability VHIV, condition indicator of road exchange ICVI, with all these indicators it is achieved to define the conservation that must be assigned to the vial interchange of Grau Oval. Besides all that, the model was developed in the HDM4 software, with which it is able to define the cost of interventions to be carried out over time and to define the cost of profitability with or without a conservation project.
