To analyze whether SARS-CoV-2 infection is a factor associated with third-trimester obstetric complications in pregnant women at the Hospital Regional Docente de Cajamarca (HRDC), 2020. Materials and methods: Cross-sectional analytical observational study, which included the medical records of 165 pregnant women hospitalized in the HRDC between April and December 2020, in whom the frequency of obstetric complications (threatened preterm birth, preeclampsia/eclampsia, placenta previa and premature rupture) was determined. of membranes) and SARS-CoV 2 infection by molecular testing (RT-PCR), the association was determined by chi-square and Odds ratio calculation. Results: 165 medical records were analyzed, of which 9 (23.6%) had obstetric complications. Age was an associated factor for complications (p=0.001), where 38.5% of women with complications were 30 years of age or older, a fact that occurred only in 15.1% of pregnant women without complications. 59% of pregnant women with complications had SARS-CoV-2 infection, this being an associated factor (OR: 2.58, 95% CI: 1.24-5.39). Conclusion: SARS-CoV-2 infection is a factor associated with third-trimester obstetric complications in pregnant women at the Hospital Regional Docente de Cajamarca, 2020.
