The present research work seeks; by studying houses located in different parts of the Trujillo district and applying the Benedetti and Petrini method to each one of them; obtain the seismic vulnerability indexes necessary to identify the dangers of these buildings and thus propose solutions as well as an appropriate action plan to the reality of the city of Trujillo. Following the research line, the respective field inspections and technical tests (sclerometry) were carried out on the main elements such as columns and beams, in order to submit the collected data to the analysis of the modeling program and finally to the analysis of the Benedetti Petrini method, which has 11 evaluation parameters with which, the structural state of the house is analyzed. It is also necessary to request additional information from the owner such as: Year of construction, type of use of the property, duration of the construction process, etc. These data; in conjunction with those obtained regarding the state of conservation, structural and non-structural elements and mathematical analysis; are compared with the E-030 earthquake resistant standard, resulting in the effective vulnerability to which each home is exposed in the event of an earthquake. These results will be analyzed and compared to propose suggestions and recommendations regarding the reinforcement of buildings that present a high degree of vulnerability.
