In the province of Cajamarca (Peru), in the cultivation of blueberries, severe infestations of Scarabaeidae larvae occur, accounting for up to 10 individuals /plant that cause their death. The use of the entomopathogenic fungus Beauveria bassiana is an alternative. The objective of the present work was to determine the most effective strain of this fungus on Scarabaeidae insects that attack blueberries in Cajamarca, by means of pathogenicity tests under laboratory conditions; also determining the sorts that attack the blueberry. The strains of the fungus were obtained from SOLAGRO and SENASA. A Complete Random Block Design was installed with four treatments including the control, the treatments being the strains: Bb5, BbSen and Bb3. The blocks were different genera of Scarabaeidae. Assessments were made at 3, 8, 13, 15, and 23 days after inoculation. In the results it was obtained on the third day the larval mortality begins but without showing important differences between treatments. From day 18 there is a significant difference between treatments. Statistical analysis determines that the most pathogenic treatments are the Bb5 and BbSen strains at 23 days, causing 100% mortality. The Scarabaeidae genera that were determined were Ligyrus, Anomala, Hetereogomphus and Dichotomius.
