Objective: To identify the level of knowledge attitudes and practices of adolescents in prevention of unwanted pregnancy in two schools of Chulucanas-Piura. Methodology: Study, prospective, analytical, cross-sectional, correlational; population 1140 students from 12 to 19 years old from the Ignacio Escudero and Isolina Baca de Chulucanas - Piura National schools, enrolled in 2018 with a sample of 250 schoolchildren who met the inclusion and exclusion criteria whose method of selection was systematic probabilistic. Results: 63.20% were female, the predominant age was 14 to 16 years with 72.4%, the Catholic religion with 82.4% and the marginal urban origin with 60.0%, it was found that 58.80% had a low level of knowledge about teenage pregnancy, 84% positive attitudes and 86% proper practices. No association was found between level of knowledge with sociodemographic variables. Attitudes were found associated with sex (p <0.01) and the mixed school Ignacio Escudero (p <0.01). The practices were associated with the female sex (p <0.01), age over 17 years (p <0.01) and the mixed school Ignacio Escudero (p <0.01). Studying at Ignacio Escudero School increases the prevalence rate of having a high level of knowledge by 1.42 times (p <0.01, RPa 1.42 IC [1.28-1.57]); the female sex increases the prevalence of positive attitudes in 1.24 times in relation to adolescent pregnancy (p <0.01 RPa 1.24 IC [1.13 - 1.35]). Regarding appropriate practices, it was found that female sex increases the prevalence rate of these by 1.18 times (p <0.01 RPa 1.18 IC [1.14 - 1.22]) as well as studying at the school Ignacio Escudero increases the reason by 1.15 times of prevalence of appropriate practices. (p <0.01 RPa 1.15 IC [1.04 - 1.28]). Conclusion: The level of knowledge of schoolchildren about pregnancy in adolescents is low, most have positive attitudes and appropriate practices, attitudes were associated with female sex and the Ignacio school Squire. The practices also were associated with the female sex and the mixed school Ignacio Escudero.
