The development of the present thesis was about the comparative analysis of the technical and economic aspect between the structural design of a flexible pavement using the AASHTO method and the structural design using triaxial geogrids for the streets of the town center “La Constancia” located in the district of Chocope, province of Ascope, department of La Libertad. In the first part, the data collection was developed, by means of carrying out test pits at various points in the streets of the La Constancia town center in order to obtain soil classification and recognize the type of soil that will be the source of research. With this data obtained from soil tests and traffic study, it was possible to structurally design the flexible pavement using the AASHTO 93 method, that is, in the conventional manner and it was structurally designed using triaxial geogrids using the SpectraPave software, finally obtaining the differences between the conventional design of a flexible pavement and the design using triaxi al geogrids. The purpose of this project was to provide reliable information since the results were based on experimental tests, which allowed to know the benefits of geotextiles. As a result of the present investigation, the decrease in layer thicknesses of the flexible pavement was observed, which had as a consequence the reduction of costs, besides it was observed its excellent structural behavior in the flexible pavement, which allows a good distribution of loads present in the pavement as a consequence of the various properties of the triaxial geogrids.
