Demonstrate that early parenthood is a risk factor for pre-eclampsia in pregnant women seen at the “Hospital de apoyo II de Sullana”. Method: A retrospective cohort study was carried out, made up of 156 pregnant women (39 exposed to primipaternity and 117 unexposed) attended in the gynecological-obstetric service of the “Hospital de apoyo II de Sullana” between August 2019 - February 2020; identifying the development or not of preeclampsia until the term of pregnancy. Results: Previous pre-eclampsia was present in 71% of the patients with pre eclampsia, being an independent risk factor after performing the multivariate analysis (RRa = 17.63, p <0.001). Fifty-four percent of pregnancies exposed to early parenthood developed preeclampsia (RR = 2.14, p = 0.009), which remained an independent risk factor for pre-eclampsia after multivariate analysis (aRR=3.36; 95%IC: 1.32-8.57, p=0.011). Conclusions: Early parenthood is a risk factor for pre-eclampsia in pregnant women seen at the “Hospital de apoyo II de Sullana
