The present research was developed with the objective of determining the relation between Early Maladaptive Schemes and Resilience in secondary students from a private educational institution in Trujillo. A descriptive correlational design was used with a sample of 264 high school students of both sexes aged between 12 and 16 years. The data collection instruments were the Young Scheme Questionnaire-Abbreviated Form (Ysq - Sf) (Peruvian Adaptation - 2012) and the Wagnild and Young Resilience Scale (Peruvian Adaptation - 2002). As a result, evidence of an inverse correlation, highly significant (p <.01) of the dimensions was obtained: emotional deprivation, abandonment / instability, excessive control / emotional inhibition, and insufficient self-control / self-discipline with resilience. Similarly, highly significant correlation evidence was found. (p <.01), direct from the dimensions: entanglement, self-sacrifice, excessive control / emotional inhibition, and unattainable norms with resilience in the referred students. In this way, it is concluded that there is a relation between Early Maladaptive Schemes and Resilience.
