The present investigation shows the results of the behavior of a concrete to which an expanding additive was added to reduce the effects of drying shrinkage. Overall, the water-cement ratio was evaluated in the design of the mixture with the objective of using this concrete. Hydraulics for temporary works to support adjacent buildings called roads. The main problem with the consolidation of concrete for beds is that its construction is carried out against the action of gravity; each element is carried out under the other, so the settlement of these structures will depend on the contraction in the cold joints at each level of wedges. . In this investigation, an expanding additive Sika®IntraPlast® was used, in doses of 6, 8 and 10% by weight of cement, and the water-cement ratio was also evaluated at levels 0.35, 0.45 and 0.55, to control resistance. Compression without adding any plasticizing or water-reducing additive, which could interfere or chemically interact with the effect of the expanded additive, in addition to representing an unnecessary cost in temporary work. Then 9 experimental groups and 3 control groups were carried out, a 32 factorial design was applied for the statistical analysis of the results obtained. Concluding that, if there is a significant reduction in concrete shrinkage due to the addition of expanding additive, it is possible to neutralize up to 82.83% of this phenomenon at the level of adding 10% of dosed expanding additive, also in a lower proportion than /c the effect of concrete shrinkage is minimal, reaching a minimum shrinkage value of 0.011 with a w/c ratio of 0.35
