To determine the frequency of the consumption of cariogenic diet in students of the secondary of 81764 La Cantera Highschool in times of COVID-19. Trujillo, August-2020. Materials and Method: The study is cross-sectional and observational. The sample consisted of 282 students of secondary from 81764 La Cantera Highschool. The instrument used was a virtual questionnaire of 10 questions for data collection about frequency of cariogenic food consumption. Results: It was found about the frequency of cariogenic diet consumption that 42.20% of the students presented a moderate cariogenic risk, 30.14% a low cariogenic risk, 19.15% did not present a cariogenic risk and 8, 51% a high cariogenic risk. According to sex, the frequency evidenced a predominant moderate cariogenic risk in women (44.83%) and men (39.42%). According to age, in the student populations of 12, 13, 14, 15, 17 and 18 years old, the frequency showed a predominance of moderate cariogenic risk with 41.38%, 42.59%, 45.45%, 60% and 42.86%. Conclusion: The frequency of the consumption of cariogenic diet of the students of the secondary of 81764 La Cantera Highschool is moderate. Older students have statistically less cariogenic risk compared to younger students.
