The present study aimed to determine the relationship between academic stress and academic procrastination among university health intern students at a hospital in Trujillo in 2023. It is a substantive study with a descriptive correlational design. A sample of 100 university health intern students was used. The instruments employed were the Academic Stress Inventory (SISCO) by Arturo Barraza Macías (2007) and the Academic Procrastination Scale by Deborah Ann Busko (1998). The results showed a Spearman- Brown correlation value of 0.518 with a probability of 0.000, which is highly significant (p <= 0.01). A correlation coefficient of 0.329 (p <= 0.01) was found between the variables of the stressor stimuli dimension and the dimensions of self-regulation and academic procrastination. Additionally, a correlation coefficient of 0.568 (p <= 0.01) was found between the variables of the symptoms dimension and the dimensions of self- regulation and academic procrastination, affirming that there is a significant relationship. Lastly, between the coping strategies dimension and the dimensions of self-regulation and academic procrastination, no correlation was found, scoring a value of 0.058 (p > 0.05), which is not significant. Therefore, it is concluded that there is a correlation between both variables in university health intern students
