To determine the relationship between the primate space and the terminal plane in children from 3 to 5 years of age of the I.E N°210 ““Dulce Virgen de Fátima““. Method: The study was observational, descriptive and cross-sectional. A total of 90 students from 3 to 5 years old were included. To determine the reliability, the inter rater calibration was performed; the results of the measurement of Kappa values were higher than 0.842. For the data collection record, a clinical oral examination of each student was performed to determine the absence or presence of primate space and the type of terminal plane. For the analysis of the results, the Chi-square test was used, estimating a significance level of 5%. Results: There was a relationship between primate space and terminal plane (P=0.000) where 63.4% presented primate spaces with a mesial terminal plane and 25.6% absence of primate space with a straight terminal plane. It was also observed that 73.3% presented primate space and 63.4% presented a mesial terminal plane, 70% presented absence of primate spaces in the lower jaw and 73.3% presented primate spaces in the upper jaw. Conclusions: That the primate space and terminal plane are related, that there is a high frequency of primate spaces especially in the upper jaw and the most frequent terminal plane is the mesial.
