This research work was carried out with the purpose of determining the influence that the recycled nylon fiber has on the cracking of concrete in a rigid pavement made with Type I Portland cement. 18 concrete panels and 24 prismatic specimens (beam type) were prepared, according to ASTM C 192 / C 192M or NTP 339.183: ““Standard practice for making and curing concrete samples in the laboratory““. To determine the cracking, the ASTM C 1579 standard was used: ““Standard test method for evaluation of plastic shrinkage cracking of fiber reinforced concrete““, with which it was monitored in an environmental chamber and registered at the beginning of the test and in 30-minute intervals, air temperature, relative humidity, air flow velocity, and the time cracking is observed for the first time for each panel surface, the test ends at the time of final setting of the particular concrete in accordance with Test Method C403M / C403M. At 24 h of the initial mix, the average width of the crack is determined. To determine the modulus of rupture was used the standard NTP 339.078: ““Test method to determine the resistance to bending of concrete in beams simply supported with loads to the thirds of the stretch““, with which prismatic test tubes were tested and load was applied to the thirds of the beam light until the failure occurs. The properties that were studied of each mixture, both of the panels and beams without macro fiber, and the panels and beams with macro fiber, were the cracking and the breaking module. The values obtained from the concrete panels reflect a reduction in cracking of 15% in reinforced concrete with recycled nylon macro fiber.
