The present research had the objectives of develop and propose the 5S methodology in the maintenance area of the company B & P SERVICE SAC to allow the easy identification, the order and cleaning of the materials, tools or machines that are used in routine activities, and achieving to generate the continuous flow of people, information and materials. First a diagnosis of the current situation of the company in relation to compliance with the 5S was made and non-conformities were detected in relation to the deficient system of order and cleanliness with an average fulfillment rate of 12%. Then the 5S methodology was designed in order to promote a culture of order and cleanliness that can contribute not only to the continuous flow but also to identify the locative, mechanical or microbiological risks that are present in the area, later the new productivity of the maintenance area that was previously 0.329 at a current value of 0.44, finally the benefit-cost of 2.03 was calculated, therefore the project is viable for its implementation In addition, with the elaboration of the proposal of the 5S methodology, the procedures were described, and the work places were organized, clean, with optimized spaces and above all with an easy identification of materials for the maintenance work of cars, achieving an optimization of the space of 25.85 m2.
