The objective of this investigation was to determine to what extent the performance of labor and machinery deviated from the estimate in budget planning, in the rehabilitation of the infrastructure of the Model School, Trujillo-2022. The research was applied, quantitative, of comparative descriptive design. The sample consisted of the items of structures during the development of the rehabilitation of the infrastructure of the Modelo school, Trujillo-2022. The observation sheet was used as an instrument where the budgeted yields and costs are compared with the actual yields and costs. The results allow us to conclude: The labor performance was determined, which was generally 95% of what was budgeted in the file (table 8), in the case of the steel item, the real performance compared to the budgeted was 4 % higher (table 13) . In the concrete item, the real yield compared to the budgeted was 29% higher (table 16), in the formwork item the actual yield compared to the budgeted was 85% (table 19), appreciating that the overall yield was very close to the planned (95%), due to the fact that some items compensated for the delay of others, and the delays due to the pandemic, and contractual aspects of the public administration. Regarding labor costs, for the concrete item they increased by 20% (table 20), for reinforced concrete, they increased by 37% (table 21), and for steel they increased by 9% (table 22 ), this is due to the fact that the workforce was affected by temporary issues, and it was necessary to resort to pre-mixed concrete in some cases. Regarding the costs of machinery, for the item of they increased by 7% (table 20), for the item of reinforced concrete 6% (table 21), and for the item of steel 2% (table 22), this due to short-term access delays since the work is on very crowded urban roads that caused delays. Regarding unit costs, these increased by 13% for the concrete item (table 20), 22% for the reinforced concrete item (table 21) and 5% for the steel item (table 22), due to conjunctural factors price increases and post-pandemic logistics costs.
