The present investigation has been making throughout the neighborhood road network of Sector III of the El Milagro town center, with the main objective of carring out an optimal paving design proposal applying the AASHTO 93 Methodology for the design of flexible pavements and at the same time making use of the data obtained through studies of the current conditions of the study area. To make this project, the guidelines established in current regulations such as the CE Technical Standard 010 of Urban Pavements, the Highway Manual: Soils, Geology and Geotechnics provided by the MTC were followed, which allowed to calculate the thicknesses for each structural layer that forms the flexible pavement. In addition, the parameters stipulated in the GH Technical Standard. 020 of Urban Design Components were used for the geometric design of the paving for the entire Sector III of the Poblado El Milagro center. To evaluate the kind of vehicular traffic that the study area presents, two counting stations were placed which allowed us to know the behavior of traffic on internal and perimeter roads of the study area. The first station (E-1) located on the section of Av. Miguel Grau obtained an ESAL's of 52,812,231, and for the second station (E 2) located on the section of Ca. Dean Saavedra, an ESAL's of 2,213,825. Likewise, Soil Mechanics Studies for Paving purposes were made, where a CBR of 56.329% was obtained, this being the highest value among all the samples tested, on the other hand, a CBR of 22.715%, this being the most critical value. On the other hand, the type of soil that predominates in the study area is well-graded gravel with silt and sand, its symbols being GW-GM and A-2-4 (0) according to SUCS and AASHTO respectively. Finally, we concluded with the structural design of the flexible pavement, obtained as thicknesses of 0.10 m for the asphalt layer, 0.25 m for the granular base and 0.28 m for the granular sub-base. In addition, the project has a direct cost of S/. 17,353,442.93
