The present thesis entitled: “Implementation of the Last Planner System in the planning and control of the work of the I.E. N° 81509, CP Chiclin, Chicama, Ascope, La Libertad”, had as objective to determine if the application of the methodology of the Last Planner system would improve the planning and control of work in the execution of the project: Rehabilitation of the School Premises N° 81509 Rafael Larco Herrera, CP Chiclin, Chicama, Ascope, La Libertad. The research methodology that was applied was that of a Longitudinal Pre Experimental Design, since the information was collected directly from the work, to then be analyzed by applying the Last Planner System methodology and evaluating the effects that its application produces in the draft. The population and sample of the study is framed in the games that represented the most incidence in the work. On the other hand, the implementation of the LPS began with the Master Planning, which involved the participation of those involved in the project, where commitments were made to fulfill the established objectives and improve the planning and control of the programmed activities. Likewise, the sectorization of the activities was carried out in order to establish the work trains, in which the metering was verified and it was sought that the sectors are balanced both in capacity and demand so that the crews can produce the same each day, thus generating fewer errors and improving the learning curve. Lookahead Planning was also carried out, which had a horizon of 4 (four) weeks, together with a weekly planning where the analysis of the restrictions of the tasks scheduled in the following week was carried out. Similarly, the Compliance Plan Percentage (PPC) was analyzed, which is an indicator of the reliability of the activities that had been programmed, where it was sought to exceed a target PPC of 75% for the project. At the same time, the Causes of Non-compliance (CNC) were evaluated, where the causes were identified, and thus take the necessary corrective actions to improve compliance with the activities. Finally, the results obtained were analyzed to establish conclusions, and in this way generate a positive contribution in the planning and control of public and private works in the country.
