Objective: Demonstrate that oral administration of prebiotics and probiotic strains produces a beneficial intestinal and splenic histopathological effect of Mus musculus. Material y methods: The study population was albino mice (Mus musculus) to which prebiotics or probiotic strains were administered, then the histopathological samples of the intestine and spleen of each mouse were analyzed, the fixations and staining of the samples were carried out. The statistical analysis was given by the Bonferroni T test; Multiple comparison tests were used in the inflammation variable, the Kruskal-Wallis analysis of variance was used to determine the difference between the groups. Results: The group that received 5 probiotic strains and 1 prebiotic presented a significant histological difference compared to the other groups: a greater number of peyer's patches and proteins such as albumin and globulins, unlike the other groups (p<0.001); as well as greater height in the crypts and villi of the small and large intestine, as well as a thicker mucosa with a villi / crypt ratio that presented a significant difference (p<0.001). Conclusion: Probiotic strains modify the activity of the small, large intestine and spleen; Mus musculus, increasing its immune activity, producing histomorphometric changes, which in turn, if accompanied by prebiotic substances, the result will be the optimal.
