With the purpose of establishing whether the Intergenic Period and cohabitation time are determining factors for the presence of preeclampsia in pregnant women treated at the César Vallejo Mendoza Hospital in Santiago de Chuco 2018; The present investigation fits a type of analytical, retrospective, observational study in 64 pregnant women in the experimental group and 64 pregnant women in the control group that met the inclusion criteria; for which a semi-structured questionnaire was prepared to measure the presence of preeclampsia and the time of sexual cohabitation as a risk factor for preeclampsia. The information was processed in the IBM SPSS Version 25 program, previous database in the Excel program. The Chi2 statistical test was used, the associations will be considered significant if the possibility of making a mistake is less than 5% (p <0.05). To determine if there is an association between the proposed factors, the Chi2 test for factor association will be applied. If P <0.05 the factors will be associated. To measure the level of association, the punctual and intervalic OR was calculated at 95%. It was found that when associating the short and prolonged intergenic period with preeclampsia in pregnant women, it was found that there is 3 times the risk of presenting preeclampsia in pregnant women with prolonged intergenic interval. In addition, by associating the time of sexual cohabitation with preeclampsia in pregnant women, the risk of presenting preeclampsia in pregnant women with sexual cohabitation time less than six months was found 4 times.
