MOLINORTE S.A.C. is a company that produces balanced food in two lines (presentations) of process: Balanced food in flour, in this production line we have a variety of products such as (beef, pork, chicken) and Balanced food pelletized in this line are products for (chickens, roosters, chickens, pigs, guinea pigs, rabbits and calves). This last line of processing is the one that will be studied. During the collection of the information, processing and analysis of the data as well as dialogues with the heads of Production and Sales, it was concluded that the main problem is non-continuous production due to the instability of demand and the lack of planning in the production area. Once the problem was identified, through the opinion of experts and a Pareto diagram, the main objective of the present investigation was to develop an aggregate plan to determine the optimal volume of production, reducing high production costs as well as making a projection that is appropriate to the probabilistic demand presented by the company. In which it was obtained that the Holt method with a percentage error of 8.17% is the one that best suits the real demand of the company. With the processing of the data obtained in the indirect and direct costs of production, it was obtained that the least cost is the constant leveling strategy with overtime. The optimal production volume was determined from our chosen forecasting method (Holt's method) maintaining a probabilistic safety stock of 30% of the projected demand. Through production planning, it was possible to reduce production downtime as well as take advantage of installed capacity, reducing high production costs and meeting the monthly sales requirement.
