The main objective of this project after considering the variables race, age, type of ear, affected ears, recurrence, symptoms and signs; is establishing the main etiological agents that cause external canine otitis, taking as sample 49 affected dogs with external otitis; were Malassezia spp. (96%), Gram positive cocci (53%), Gram negative cocci (22%), Gram positive bacilli (47%), Gram negative bacilli (22). %) and acarus (6%), were found. It was also determined that the mixed infection represents 76% of the otitis cases, being the one with the greatest presence the association of Malassezia spp. with Gram positive cocci.
