OBJECTIVES. To identify the prognostic factors of 5-year survival in patients with radical nephrectomy due to renal adenocarcinoma MATERIAL AND METHODS. The present study of survival analysis, evaluated a consecutive series of 83 patients with anatomopathological diagnosis of renal adenocarcinoma who were treated in the Oncology Urology Service of the Regional Institute of Neoplastic Diseases of Trujillo during the years 2008 to 2015 RESULTS The mean age of the total series was 61.07 ± 12.21 years. By univariate analysis, the factors that were statistically significant in the 5-year survival were: the hemoglobin at admission < 10 g / dl with 5-year survival rates of 34.4%, while the patients with hemoglobin > 10 g / dl said Rates at 5 years were 77.7% (p = 0.008). The presence of vascular invasion showed a 5-year survival rate of 66.9% (p = 0.027). The primary tumor showed a decrease in survival, observing that in T1, T2, T3 and T4 the five-year survival rates were 84.7%, 80.7%, 58.0% and 0% respectively (p = 0.0001). The clinical stage, observed survival rates at 5 years for stages I, II, III and IV were 83.5%, 92.9%, 67% and 33.3% respectively (p = 0.03). CONCLUSIONS Prognostic factors related to 5-year survival were preoperative serum hemoglobin, primary tumor and clinical stage, confirmed by multivariate analysis.
