In the present study, the prevalence of gastrointestinal parasites was determined in eight neotropical primate species from Wild Life & Fish (W & F) Breeding Zoo Saguinus fuscicollis, Cebuella pygmaea, Aotus nancymae, Cebus albifrons, Cebus apella, Oreonax flavicauda, Ateles belzebuth, Alouatta seniculus, Saimiri sciureus, using three coproparasitological techniques: (direct, flotation and sedimentation), 38 fecal samples were analyzed in triplicate. The results show a prevalence of 92.1% (35/38); which corresponds to nematelmintos and platelmintos, the primate species with the highest number of parasites was Cebus apella with 21% (8/38); a high degree of parasitism was found by nematelmintos (88.6%) compared with flatworms (11.4%); The latter were exclusive to the species Cebus apella, Cebus albifrons, Ateles belzebuth and Oreonax flavicauda. The sedimentation method was the most efficient technique in the present study.
