The present study was carried out in the private slaughterhouse of the ““San Francisco““ district of Salaverry, province of Trujillo, La Libertad department and in the parasitology laboratories of the schools of human medicine and veterinary medicine of the Private University Antenor Orrego during the months from January to June 2017. The objective was to determine the incidence, morphology and histology of bovine paramphistomosis. Rumen and reticulum of 300 cattle were inspected, of which 6.7% (300/20) were positive. 90% of the positive animals come from the provinces of Cajamarca (20/18), 5% from Paiján (20/1), and other 5% from Chao (20/1). Thirty fresh adult parasites were placed with Delafield's hematoxylin and mounted with Canada Balsam for internal morphometric examination. Fifty parasites were preserved in warm acetic formaldehyde, length, width, oral suction cup and ventral suction cup were measured using a digital vernier. It was determined that the parasite studied belongs to the family Paramphistomidae, genus Calicophoron, and microbothrioid species, whose internal morphometry corresponds to esophagus (332.3 μm long by 211.5 μm wide), oral suction cup (264.2 μm diameter), genital pore (86.2 μm diameter), Ovary (112.2 μm in diameter), anterior testis (83.6 μm x 65.0 μm), posterior testis (123.8 μm x 79.001 μm), uterus (437.6 μm in length) and acetabulum (115.2 μm diameter).
