Evaluate whether there exists influence of pre pregnancy overweight and the obesity in adolescents to develop Preeclampsia. MATERIAL AND METHOD: It is an observational, retrospective, traverse study, descriptive of cases and controls, in the Hospital II - 2 Sullana MINSA, the study population was constituted by 814 pregnant adolescent, who fulfill test of inclusion. RESULTS: 814 teenagers it was selected for the realization of this work. The distribution of adolescents according to the classification given by the OMS in 1996 was: 798 were late teens with 98.03% and early teens 16 with 1.97%. In relation to the adolescents with overweight and/or obesity (IMC > 25), 224 adolescents met with 27.51%.; of them they presented obesity pregestacional 4.42% and 23.10% overweight. The preeclampsia was present in 7.49%, with a IC95% among 5.82% - 958%, and it was with more frequency in the late adolescents with 96.72%. When the prepregnancy overweight is associated, our independent variable, with preeclampsia, this was at 5.85% (11), with an OR of 0.7159. Confidence Interval 95% of 0.3648 to 1.4049. Statistically not significant. Obesity was present at 2 teenagers, represented by 5.56%. Statistical analysis determines an OR 0.7168, with a confidence interval of 95% from 0.1681 to 3.0578. Statistically not significant. 8 When the variables were grouped: overweight and obesity the value of OR was 0.6957 with a CI 95% of 0.3694 to 1.3103, with ch2 of 1.2737 and a p 0.25907, statistically significant.
