In the following research work the analysis of seismic vulnerability was carried out in the confined masonry dwellings from the Geotechnical - Seismic point of view of the El Milagro - Huanchaco District - Trujillo Province. C.P. El Milagro presents great uncertainty regarding its analysis of GeotechnicalSeismic vulnerability, this is due to the fact that the existing houses, have not been designed with the current regulations, and at the same time, there has not been a qualified technical supervision during the Building process. In order to be able to evaluate the seismic - geotechnical vulnerability of the area, the first job was to carry out 30 surveys of owners and their respective dwellings, in order to know the reality of existing buildings, resulting in many of the houses being recent constructions, of development and a small percentage are old dwellings. In this process of surveys was carried out architectural surveys of houses, to know their geometry and to determine if there was skilled labor, quality and types of materials of the structural elements used in construction. The results of the survey sheet allowed us to evaluate whether the existing wall density of the dwelling was adequate, also to evaluate the quality of the construction process and the materials used; thus determining that the area has a high structural degree of seismic vulnerability. Regarding soil behavior in the study area, 7 soil mechanics studies were carried out at different strategic sites, in order to be able to perform a geotechnical microzoning and to know its main characteristics, such as the location of the water table, its capacity resistance and its carrying capacity by settlement; thus determining that the area has a good soil for potential constructions. Finally, a microzoning of dangers was obtained, obtained as results that there are areas bordering the Quebrada León that affects in great magnitude homes of the C.P. El Milagro. These two structural and geotechnical studies give us the final result of the degree of Geotechnical-Seismic vulnerability.
