A comparative descriptive study about the psychosocial risks between Social Skills between male and female high school students of a state educational institution in Huamachuco has been carried out. For this purpose, a sample of 132 male students and 151 female students, between the ages of 12 and 17 years, with enrollment enrollment in the 2016 school year, were employed, using the Gismero Social Skills Scale (1997) for their evaluation. The results show that in the group of male students a low level of Social Skills predominates, and in the dimensions Defending the rights as a consumer, Saying no and cutting interactions, Making requests, Initiating positive interactions with the opposite sex; And an average level in the dimensions Self-expression of social situations and Expression of anger or disconformity.On the other hand, in the group of female students, a low level of Social Skills predominates in general and in the dimensions Self-expression of social situations, Defense of the own rights as consumer, To make requests, To initiate positive interactions with the opposite sex; And an average level in the dimensions Expression and anger or disconformity, Say no and cut interactions. As for the differential analysis, we can mention that there are differences in social skills at the general level and in the dimensions Expression of anger or disagreement, make requests and initiate positive interactions with the opposite sex. In the other dimensions, no significant differences were found.
