OBJECTIVE: Determinate the clinical – epidemiologist characteristics of death patients with HIV infection at Santa Rosa Hospital. 2014-2017. METHOD: It is an observational, descriptive, retrospective, transversal cohort, with information based on data of 2014-2017 of medicine service. RESULTS: There where 62 clinical histories of death patients by HIV infection at the described period, 10 were excluded for incomplete information. 80.7% (n= 42) were man, and 19.3% (n=10) were woman. Young people were common to find, ages between 1838 years old in the 59.9% (n=31). 76.9% (n=40) belonged to the urban zone. 75% (n=39) of this patients were heterosexual and the 50% (n=26) of this were single. with a CD4 counting of <200 were the 71.1% (n=37). Highest viral charge were in 50% (n=26). 76.92% (n=40) were in 3rd clinical stage. In this patients, the mortality was associated to less diagnosed time, it was between 1-5 years, Here we found the 71.2% (n=37). The 88.4% (n=46) had the HAART. The 63.5%(n=33) had infections as death cause, in wich the 48.4% (n=16) represents the neurological ones. CONCLUSION: This study has shown that mortality in this patients is associated to less diagnosed time, higher viral charge and less CD4 counting, most of this patients were young man, heterosexual wich most common death cause was the neurological infections.
