This quantitative investigation base on a pre experimental design explored on how the ludic-rhetoric techniques contribute to the development in the written production of narrative texts among students at Universidad Privada del Norte. The aim was to determine the efficiency and validity of the method to stimulate the creation and writing of that kind of texts. For this purpose a single group of 30 students registered in the literary text writing workshop were the sample population to proceed with this investigation. Five dimensions were considered to evaluate this study, which are: The use of rhetorical resources in text narration, contribution and configuration of the narrative elements, classic narrative structure, and theme unity and language property. The data collection was through the instrument validated by the statistical formula T of Student which compared the measures among pre and post-test. From the obtained results there are differences statistically significant compared to the first test, with a measure of 4,37 the second with a measure of 13,90 with the same value. This shows improvement in their performance since 36,67% of the students reached a grade of 15 and another 20% got a grade of 15 in the scale o to 20. The conclusions determine that the writing level in the students visible in the pre-test was low, therefore it required the introduction of ludic-rhetoric techniques during the workshop, the post-test show an increment in the writing production, with an obvious difference between both test. All that was mentioned has proven the validity of the applied method.
