Objective: To stablish the relationship between the level of knowledge about ergonomic risk and muscle skeletal disorders in health worker of Yurimaguas Hospital, 2017. Material and Methods: A transversal, ambispective, observational correlation study was carried out during 2017. The sample consisted of 133 workers. Results: The level of knowledge was regular in 57.9 % followed by a low level of knowledge with 27.1 % and high level of knowledge that corresponded to a 15 %. The frecuency of symptoms of muscle skeletal disorders was 51.9 % equivalent to 69 cases. The establishment of a relationship between level of knowledge about ergonomic risk and symptoms of muscle skeletal disorders showed highly significant differerence (X2=38.17; p=0.000). The average age was 39.74 ±7.3; 66.2 % who were technical medic and 33.8 % were nurces. The female gender involved 67.7 % and the average of work experience was 10±6.14 years. The most frecuent type of symptom was pain in 51.9 % of the total of workers, 48.1 were located in lower back, followed by the average back in a 17.3 %. The symptom was presented at the end of the workday in 29.3% of the workers. 27.8 % suffered from 3 to 6 month and 25.6 % it persisted for less tan a day. Conclusions: The most frecuent level of knowledge was regular and 51.9% of the workers suffered from symptoms of muscle skeletal disorders. The level of knowledge was related to the symptoms under study. It is suggested to alert health workers about the importance of knowing about ergonomic risks and to communicate to their bosses the symptoms they suffer, spreading of the result, Consideration of the instruments used in future reseach and training.
