To determine the clinical and epidemiological profile of patients with HELLP Syndrome III Joseph Hospital Cayetano Heredia during the period January 2011 to December 2014. MATERIAL AND METHOD: An observational, retrospective, cross-sectional descriptive study was conducted at the Regional Hospital Cayetano Heredia III Joseph, where he studied 70 patients diagnosed with HELLP syndrome. RESULTS: Patients with HELLP syndrome in the Regional Hospital Cayetano Heredia José III during the period January 2011 to December 2014, are women aged 20-40 years, living in urban areas 54.3% are cohabiting mainly (57.1% ) and have a high school education (44.3%). Most were multiparous (44.3%) without comorbidities (92.9%) and no history of Hypertensive disorders in pregnancy (84.3%). Patients were 33 weeks gestational age less than 6 prenatal care and cesarean mainly ended. The predominant symptoms were headache (88.6%) and epigastric pain (48.6%); presenting a hospital stay of 7 days, usually do not enter critical area, and generates no complications in patients presenting acute renal failure in 31.4% and ascites in 30% of cases. All were discharged. CONCLUSIONS: The demographic characteristics of patients with HELLP syndrome in the Regional Hospital Cayetano Heredia José III during the period January 2010 to December 2014, are women aged 20-40 years, living in urban areas are mainly cohabitants and present a level of secondary education. Most patients were multiparous, without comorbidities and no history of Hypertensive disorders in pregnancy. The gestational age was 33 weeks with less than 6 prenatal care, and termination of pregnancy was mainly cesarean. The most common symptoms were headache and heartburn; presenting a hospital stay of 7 days, usually do not enter critical area, presenting with acute renal failure and ascites in most cases. All were discharged.
