Determine if the gynecological age ≤ 3 years is a risk factor for premature rupture of membranes in pregnant adolescents attended at the ““Hospital Belen““ at Trujillo. Material and Method: Case-control study, retrospective, random sampling, evaluating 378 adolescents distributed in two groups, cases (126 adolescents with premature rupture of membranes ) and controls (252 adolescents without premature rupture of membranes). Results: The frequency of premature rupture of membranes in pregnant women was 11.8%. Gynecological age ≤ 3 years is not a factor for premature rupture of membranes in adolescent pregnant women, with a p = 0.74876, Odds Ratio = 1.080, CI: ( 0.6761.725) . The Chronological age,educational attainment, and marital status are not factors associated with premature rupture of membranes in adolescent pregnant women. The number of prenatal controls below 6 is a risk factor for premature rupture of membranes in adolescent pregnant women. P: 0.00004, OR: 2.66. IC ( 1.66-4.26) .
