To determine whether glycosylated ≥ 7.5 Hemoglobin is predictor of amputation in patients with diabet ic foot treated at “Jose Cayetano Heredia” Hospital in Piura, during the period January 2013 - December 2015. Material and Methods: An analyt ical, observational, retrospective cross-sect ional study, design of diagnostic tests performed. The study sample consisted of 105 patients diagnosed with diabet ic foot, according to inclusion and exclusion criteria. Chi-square statist ics, Bayesiana Probabilit y, Likelihood Ratio and ROC curve for verification of the hypothesis were applied. Results: The variables wit h significant associat ion to amputation in pat ients with diabet ic foot were: white blood cell count with an average of 14 ± 4 647.5 880.7 (p = 0.009), albumin 3.3 ± 0.71 (p = 0.012). It was found that glycosylated hemoglobin ≥ 7.5 is a predictor of amputation with a 7.4% cutoff, obtained a sensit ivit y of 96%, specificit y 58%, VPP 87% and VPN 83%. The study model had an acceptable diagnost ic yield of 87%. Conclusions: It was determined that sex, high blood pressure, duration of diabetes mellitus type 2, duration of ulcer, cholesterol, Triglycerides no significant associat ion with amputation in patients with diabet ic foot. The white blood cell count, hypoalbuminemia have significant associat ion with amputation in patients with diabetic foot. The glycosylated hemoglobin ≥ 7.5 is associated with amputation; It is statist ically reliable to predict amputation in pat ients with diabet ic foot test..
