Objective: Determine if cesarean delivery is a risk factor associated with bronchiolitis in infants treated in the Hospital Regional Docente of Trujillo. Material and Methods: A study of analytical, observational, retrospective, case-control type was carried out. The study population was conformed for 114 infants between 3 and 24 months of age accord inclusion and exclusion criteries; who were divided into 2 groups: with and without bronchiolitis. Results: The frequency of cesarean delivery in patients with bronchiolitis was 61% and it is incidence was highest in infants between 3 and 6 months of age; the frequency of cesarean delivery in patients without bronchiolitis was 33%. The odds ratio for caesarean section in relation to bronchiolitis was 3.13 (p <0.05), and his confidence interval at 95% was (1.39 - 7.01). Conclusions: The cesarean is a risk factor associated to development to bronchiolitis in infants treated in the Hospital Regional Docente of Trujillo because this conditionate a muestral risk to 3.13 and this is significatively.
